I am constantly using my headphones to help me mix or just putt together beautiful tracks especially for people who want to hear the music I PLAY on a cd at my college I have made 20 mix cds for some peeps and there has nothin but great feedback . When I put on my HP I imagine myself playing at a club, concert, etc... starting warm up songs leading to the bigger tracks with my stlye added to them. I guess thats what makes my listeners keep wanting more.

It makes sense learning both. Once I get to where I want with the traditional method I'll be taking a few steps back to master the headphones method for shizzle.

Another wickid article benny

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this mate. Personally, i find mixing in the headphones more comfortable than the traditional method, however, i must admit, the later is the tougher skill to gain out of the two. Nevertheless, both skills are good to have, one can never have too many skills in mixing, the more the better :)
